Last week's visit from Kirsten gave me a good excuse to be in full tourist mode. I snapped this cool shot of ol' George's shadow at the Smithsonian American History Museum. Apparently, this Greek-inspired statue was the original Washington Monument, but since everyone found it to be a little odd, after years of being moved around it eventually was gifted to the Smithsonian Institution. I think it's pretty rad to see one of our founding fathers in a toga, but that's just me...
